Sugar is the worst thing you can put inside yourself. Research suggests that sugar has played a role in the massive rise in diseases such as:
- Metabolic Syndrome
- Cardiovascular Disease
- Diabetes Type 2
Sugar intake is also linked to
weight gain.
Men can have up to a maximum of 9 teaspoons of sugar a day. This means you, as a male, can have up to a maximum of 150 calories from sugar.
Women are allowed 6 teaspoons or100 calories from sugar a day.
But did you forget that just
one can of coke has
140 calories coming from sugar?
So if you are used to drinking a can of coke a day, then you are only left with 10 calories which you can get from sugar. The 9 teaspoon of sugars a day (maximum rule) only applies if you do not get calories from sugars present in processed (junk) foods!
Best solution: Avoid junk food and as much table sugar as you possibly can. It is about your health after all.
